Abstract

This article delves into the ethical consequences associated with the implementation of Quantitative Easing (QE) policy in Indonesia. The QE policy has been adopted by many countries in response to the tumultuous economic challenges. The key question in this article is the extent of the urgency of implementing QE policy in maintaining Indonesia's economic stability. In evaluating the urgency of implementing QE, the author employs a qualitative approach within a constructive paradigm. The findings reveal that while QE policy can, on one hand, boost economic growth, on the other hand, it also generates inequality impacts felt specifically by the unemployed segment of the population, thereby disrupting the ethics of the economy itself. Further research is needed to formulate a monetary policy that aligns with ethical principles to ensure its implementation genuinely benefits the overall welfare equitably.
